Mens Gathering 2025

The Men's Healing Gathering at Wičuhkemtultine provides an intentional space for men to work through the complex issues of evolving images of masculinity.

Together, we are seeking a new baseline. We acknoweldge that there is no one size fits all image of masculinity. In truth, there are likely more than 8 billion versions of what masculinity represents. We aren't trying to shrink ourselves into one image, but to free ourselves from the stereotypical images that have been perpetuated across time, so that we can more clearly (re)imagine ourselves from within healthy, balanced, and grounded hearts.

During the gathering, healing discussions will be led by spiritual and thought leaders from diverse backgrounds. Discussion leaders include: Indigenous ceremony leaders from the United States, Canada, and Aotearoa, black clergy, and white peace and movement leaders. The men leading these discussion have all invested in their own healing, while also contributing to deep social healing in the broader world.

Every year, we are asked - what is the agenda? The answer, there isn't one. We purposely keep the agenda loose, so that those in attendance can work on the issues that are most present for them at the time of the gathering. There are themes, but there is no set-in-stone agenda. Each year, themes emerge amongst participants and they work through them together. This year's theme is: Becoming the elders and ancestors that we needed. The gathering will include both small and large group discussion, sacred growth work, collective projects on the land(optional), lots of wonderful food, and emotional intelligence and resilience learning, and relationship building.

We are gathering in a time of dangerous social disruption, when humanity and our planet are both deeply wounded, to work on our personal growth and community healing. Our goal is to empower one another to do the deep inner work that is necessary for us to show up in the world kind, grounded, and brave, so that we can build strong relationships with our family, friends, and communities.

**Please note: scholarships are available for those who wish to attend but need financial support to do so. If you would like a full or partial scholarship, please email: info@landpeacefoundation.org and we will help you register for the event.

*If you play an instrument and would like to bring it, feel free. There are many musicians in the group.

The 2024 Matriarch's Gathering at Wicuhkemtultine is going to be a powerfully transformative three-day event dedicated to fostering unity, healing, and empowerment among women.

This year's Matriarch's Gathering looks deeply into the collective trauma that women have experienced across time. Our focus this year will be on healing the deep grief that has been passed down mother to daughter, generation-by-generation.
