***IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR SATURDAY APRIL 26TH***
Due to heavy rain in the forecast, we are moving our mid-day prayer gathering from the Field of Dreams to the Ecology Learning Center, at 230 Maine Street, Unity. We will still be walking from the Troy Union Church on Saturday morning, but we will be gathered from noon- 2:30 indoors at the Ecology Center. Looking forward to seeing you. We have rain ponchos available for those who will be walking.
Tuesday, April 22nd - Opening Ceremony - 9 am -1 pm.
We will begin at the Penobscot Nation Ball Field, next to the boat landing - If you need an address for GPS use: 12 Wabanaki Way, Indian Island, Me.
Once you arrive on the island, follow the event signs. In the event of rain, we will be moving next door to the Sockalexis Arena.
**We are requesting that those who are able bring a dish to contribute to the community lunch on this day.
Following the opening ceremony, we will walk 5.5 miles to the Church of Universal Fellowship, 82 Main Street, Orono, where we will gather for our end of day prayer. (5.5 miles)
Wednesday, April 23rd - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Church of Universal Fellowship, 82 Main Street, Orono.
We will then walk from Orono to Cascade Park, 600 State Street, Bangor, where we will stop for lunch. Following lunch, we will proceed to the Lura Hoit Pool Park, 106 Western Avenue, Hampden. We will gather at the Lura Hoit Park between 5-5:30 for our end of day prayer. (14 miles)
Thursday, April 24th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Lura Hoit Park.
We will then walk to Moo Moo’s Pub - 995 Western Avenue, Hampden, where we will stop for lunch. We are encouraging walkers to support local businesses along the walk. You can find the menu for Moo Moo’s Pub online. We will also have outdoor seating and water bottle refilling available.
Following lunch we will walk to the Kennard Hill Trailhead, Newburgh (look for signs). We will end our walk at the Kennard Hill Trailhead between 5 and 5:30 and gather for our end of day prayer at the Land Peace Foundation Barn. Please look for posted event signs. (8.7 miles, with lots of big hills)
**Please note: The end of day prayers will be held at the Land Peace Foundation, 120 Dixmont Road, Monroe, ME.
Friday, April 25th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Land Peace Foundation Office at 120 Dixmont Rd, Monroe, at the intersection of Kennard Road and Rt. 202 at 8:30 am.
We will then walk to the Richard Simpson Memorial Park, 537 Western Avenue (Rt. 202) Dixmont, ME, where we will stop for lunch. Following lunch, we will continue to the Troy Union Church 514 Bangor Road, Troy, ME, where we will gather for our end of day prayer service. (12.2 miles)
Saturday, April 26th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Troy Union Church, 514 Bangor Road, Troy, ME., (There is supposed to be a lot of rain on Saturday, we are working to secure an indoor location for the mid-day prayer service. Please check back for updates on that location).
We will then walk to the Field of Dreams in Unity, 9 Bangor Road, Unity, ME., where we will gather for a community lunch and hold a multi-speaker prayer service. Following the prayer service we will walk a short distance to Unity College to end our day of walking. **We are requesting that people bring a potluck dish to share at the lunch prayer service on this day.
This is a good day for people who are interested in walking a short distance, to join us from the Field of Dreams to Unity College.

Sunday, April 27th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the entrance to Unity College, 90 Quaker Hill Road, Unity, ME.
We will then walk to the Albion Town Office 22 Main Street, Albion (Besse Building), where we will stop for lunch. Following Lunch, cyclists and runners will carry the journey to ‘The Landing Circle K” in China, 1390 Lakeview Drive, China, ME. We will then resume walking to the Friends Camp in China 729 Lakeview Drive, South China (Off Rt. 202), where we will gather for an end of day prayer service and refreshments, provided by the Maine Friends Group. (16.5 miles, with cyclists/runners covering 6.5 miles).
Monday, April 28th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Friends Camp, 729 Lakeview Drive, South China.
We will then walk to Hannaford Parking lot, 33 Hannaford Dr, China, ME., at the intersection of Rt 202 and Rt 3 in Augusta. From there, cyclists and runners will carry the journey to Cushnoc Brewing Annex parking lot, 3044 N. Belfast Avenue, Augusta, ME. We will then walk from there to the Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital Street, Augusta, where we will gather for our end of day prayer between 5 and 5:30. (17.1 miles, with cyclists covering 6- 7 miles).
Tuesday, April 29th - We will begin our day of walking at 8:30 am with a morning prayer at the Viles Arboretum, 153 Hospital Street, Augusta, where we will gather to walk together to the Maine State House in Augusta, for our closing ceremony.
We will arrive at the State House at approximately 11:30 am. There, we will have a closing ceremony featuring representatives from various faith and cultural groups, and a number of musicians/musical groups. (2.3 miles).
***Important*** Peace and Friendship focused signs and banners are welcome. Please do not bring signs that are on sticks or posts. They are not allowed on the State House grounds.
